Minnesota lawmakers are currently wrestling with how to balance the state’s budget.  KVSC understands the enormity of this budget problem, and recognizes that sacrifices will have to be made.  However, one proposal calls for the complete elimination of operational grants for public radio stations; we are willing to take our proportionate cut to our state grants.  Public broadcasters like KVSC rely on these state grants to serve their communities.  If you would like to help us protect at least a portion of these important state grants, please contact your representative in the state House and Senate and tell them why you think they should continue to support public broadcasting and KVSC.  Operational grants pay for everything from our tower lease fees to CD players that allow us to represent the voices and people of Central Minnesota.
