Archived: KVSC Top 30 (11/23-11/29)

Perfection is overrated. Perfection is boring. "Oh, I see you did that thing you do so well, yet again… *yawn*". That’s the problem with perfection, it turns into monotony. I, for one, am glad I am imperfect, it keeps things interesting. I am also glad, then, that Flight of the Conchords lost the top spot last week (though, as I said at the time, for them to be supplanted by The Lost Fingers was bittersweet, with a focus on the sweet). It makes their return to the top of the list in their last week in our new music rotation that much better. So long, dear Conchords, you will be missed (but not forgotten).

Other notes:

James is all kinds of excited over the #2 spot-taking by Khan & the Show (as all the cool kids who live in my head call them). I certainly can’t fault him there, they do(o-wop) some sweet 50’s-style garage rock.

Built to Spill made a triumphant return this week up there at #3. That was a CD that mysteriously disappeared for a few weeks, only to mysteriously reappear last week. I think BtS will be getting some extra lovin’ going forward.

Props also to Julian Casablancas, the Flaming Lips and B.C. (YEAH!) for their Top 13 charting this week.

That means this version of the charts is deep fried and served with spaetzel!

Thank You Underwriters
