After losing nearly a month of construction time due to the State of Minnesota shutdown, the construction of a traffic roundabout at University Drive and 5th Avenue South is set to begin Aug. 1.

Of course, with construction comes closures and detours. East-west traffic on University Drive will be maintained at all times, but reduced to only one lane in each direction and 5th Avenue South will be closed in both directions at the University Drive intersection.

Also closing is the intersection of 7th Avenue South and University. Detours will be posted soon.
