Archived: SCSU to go Tobacco Free in 2012?

St. Cloud State’s Smoking Policy Review Task Force is recommending that SCSU become a tobacco-free campus starting in August of 2012. The task force is also suggesting the campus roll into the tobacco-free era with a one year transition period. Beginning this August, it is recommended that tobacco use be limited to 17 designated areas on the SCSU campus. Then in August of 2012, the designated smoking areas would be eliminated and the entire campus would go tobacco free. At this point, these are just recommendations. During the next few weeks the campus is invited to give feedback to the task force before the recommendation goes to President Potter’s desk for review and action.
