St. Cloud: The Worst Minnesota City for Drivers?

An online poll created by a financial news website reveals St. Cloud might the worst Minnesota city to drive in.

The poll comes from 24/7 Wall Street, a financial news company based in Delaware. The company created an index that statistically identifies the worst metros to drive in each state, using factors such as traffic fatalities and commuting.

According to the index, St. Cloud averages eleven traffic fatalities per 100,000 people, a whopping five fatalities higher than the state average. The city also sees a higher percentage of commuters; almost 90 percent of workers commute to their job, higher than the state average of 86 percent.

It should be noted that the index picks out cities that score higher than their respective state’s average, and it does not mean that St. Cloud is a bad city to drive in as a whole.
