Announcement: Chan Poling of The Suburbs and The New Standards will be our guest musician for the May 28th Granite City Radio Theatre!

KVSC is proud to present the Granite City Radio Theatre live from the Pioneer Place on Fifth.

Season 2 finale will take place on May 28 and tickets are available here

Comprised of a radio drama serial, live music, and various comedic sketches, local professionals and students put their best foot forward in this unique live radio production complete with a live studio audience.

Have you taken the time to listen to any of KVSC's podcasts lately? KVSC is Your Podcast Alternative and we are proud of the content we have created on our podcasts page

Most recently, Untold Stories of Central Minnesota series has highlighted untold stories of the region; including the founding of St. Cloud State University, the battle of Gettysburg as told by Melrose Area Museum, along with many other stories of regional history and culture.  

The KVSC Music Department is constantly podcasting interviews with local, national, and international musicians. The KVSC News Department is producing features of relevant events and issues and podcasting them as well. 

Podcasts allow you to obtain downloads of MP3 audio files, you can transfer your podcast episodes to a portable player. More information about listening to podcasts can be found here. But if you have any questions please email info@kvsc.org.

Ever wonder whose voice that is on the radio?

While listening to your favorite program on Your Sound Alternative, have you ever wondered who the voice is behind the microphone? That's a great question! KVSC attracts more than 70 volunteer deejays, so it can be hard to keep up. To see who is hosting your show of choice, check out our Program Guide. KVSC is proud to be part of the AMPERS radio network.  Ampers is a network of 15 independent community radio stations in Minnesota. Each station is locally managed and programmed by and for the local communities they serve.  Ampers is the largest network of community radio stations in Minnesota and one of the largest of its kind in the United States. From Grand Marais and Thief River Falls to Mankato and Winona, and just about everywhere in-between, we’ve got Minnesota covered. Our combined audience is about 250,000 devoted listeners.

PODCAST: Holocaust Survivor Henry Oertelt

KVSC.org presents an original production--the amazing journey of Holocaust survivor Dr. Henry Oertelt.  The entire podcast series is presented in episodes of the 18 critical events that led to Henry's survival of five Nazi concentration camps and a three day death march.  Henry Oertelt's compelling book, "An Unbroken Chain" was recorded and engineered at the KVSC studios.  KVSC is sincerely honored to be the audio archival source of Dr. Oertelt's eternal message of hope and dignity.
