As the fall semester kicks off at St. Cloud State University KVSC welcomes all new and returning students to campus!

Serving as SCSU's college and community radio station, KVSC 88.1 FM plays independent and cultural music, broadcasts Huskies sports and reports on campus news. The station hosts and promotes frequent events such as Monday Night Live and the much anticipated annual Trivia Weekend.

A student-run station, KVSC has many volunteer opportunities for any student in any major or minor looking to get involved. Interested in a degree in Mass Communications? KVSC provides students with opportunities and resources to obtain real-world experience while pursuing their degree.

For three days, February 16-18, 2018 Your Sound Alternative’s provocateurs will present clandestine operations to infiltrate your brain with useless data searches, pointless facts and the quest for incomplete truths.

Team captains—this is not for your eyes only--awake your sleeper cells, plan acts of espionage on the caffeine suppliers of your rivals and activate your ciphers. Trivia Agent Volunteers, prepare for a dead drop on the details of the wire tapping stations at KVSC.

Ever wonder whose voice that is on the radio?

While listening to your favorite program on Your Sound Alternative, have you ever wondered who the voice is behind the microphone? That's a great question!

So, you heard a song, but missed the DJ telling you what it was called and who sang it.  Don't sweat it. Just go to our Spinitron page.  

Located in the "Listen Live" player on the upper right of all pages, you can see who's on the air and what artist and song is currently playing.  Also, if you click the host's name you can view their profile.  If you click the track name, you can view the entire play list in real-time via

PODCAST: Holocaust Survivor Henry Oertelt presents an original production--the amazing journey of Holocaust survivor Dr. Henry Oertelt.  The entire podcast series is presented in episodes of the 18 critical events that led to Henry's survival of five Nazi concentration camps and a three day death march.  Henry Oertelt's compelling book, "An Unbroken Chain" was recorded and engineered at the KVSC studios.  KVSC is sincerely honored to be the audio archival source of Dr. Oertelt's eternal message of hope and dignity.
