1st Round of WCHA Play-Offs on KVSC

After skating to a loss and tie last weekend, the SCSU Men's Hockey team is looking to prove themselves worthy of their third place standing in the first round of the WCHA play-offs, as they welcome back MSU-Mankato to the National Hockey Center.  KVSC's sports crew brings you completely commercial free and the most in-depth coverage hockey live... March 12-14.  

Play by play host Aaron Bjorkstrand breaks it down with color commentary from Zack Fisch, and ice-side talent Patrick Sullivan.  Face off is 7:07p.m Friday, Saturday (and Sunday if necessary) in this best of three competition. Our pre-game starts at 6:45p.m.

Online Ticket Giveaways: Vampire Weekend, Spoon, Passion Pit

You may have heard a little talk on the air about our online ticket giveaways... KVSC currently has tickets to some pretty cool shows including Vampire Weekend March 22, Spoon April 3 and Passion Pit April 4 - all at First Avenue Mainroom in Minneapolis.  All you need to do for your chance to win is fill out our online concert submission form and tell us why you should be the lucky winner.

While listening to your favorite program on Your Sound Alternative, have you ever wondered who the voice is behind the microphone? That's a great question! KVSC attracts more than 70 volunteer deejays, so it can be hard to keep up. To see who is hosting your show of choice, check out the Spring 2010 Program Guide. Your Sound Alternative is 100% portable, take us with you wherever you go. Listen online at KVSC.org or use the Public Radio Tuner on your iPhone to stay tuned to KVSC.  Public Radio Player 2.1 for the iPod was recently launched -- this free download is available at the iTunes store. We recommend streaming privately with ear buds, or proclaim your love of independent programming publicly... or at least as loud as your device can rock the progressive decibels of 88.1FM.
